All students who intend to use the BCSS weight rooms during extra-curricular programs this year must read and complete the weight room student use agreement using their YRDSB GAPPS account.
After reading the agreement below, complete the form to indicate that you have read and understand rules and regulations for student use.
BCSS Student Weight Room Use Agreement
Take a few minutes to ensure that you understand all of the rules and regulations below. If you have any questions- please don’t hesitate to ask. Once you’ve read everything- click on the button to indicate that you’ve read, understood, and agree to the weight room use rules and regulations for all students.
Thanks in advance for helping to keep our training spaces safe, inclusive, and working well.
1.
All students using training spaces must be in school uniform apparel. This can be an HPE class uniform or other B.C.S.S. uniform apparel suitable for exercise.
2.
Every student attending a training session must sign-in using the QR codes displayed for EVERY session. This is easy. It only takes a minute. Do it. No exceptions.
3.
No food or drink (other than water) is permitted in any training space. There are no exceptions to this rule.
4.
Backpacks and bags should be kept in lockers. Do not bring them into the weight room.
5.
Students working out alone must have a spotter for any free weight (barbell or dumbbell) overhead lifting exercises.
6.
Groups of students training together must not gather around one piece of equipment. Working out in a pair, or group of three is acceptable. But groups larger than three must split up in order to make better use of space, time, and weight room resources.
7.
If the a weight room is at capacity- you may not enter. Currently, we are using a first-come, first-served policy for extra-curricular weight room use. If capacity issues arise, we will implement a sign-up process with limitations on frequency of weekly use.
8.
Offensive language or behaviour of any kind is not tolerated. This includes music- so keep your playlists tidy. Don’t be mean. And don’t do anything that might make someone else feel uncomfortable. These spaces collectively belong to the 1600+ people who are permitted to use them. If you are unable to remain considerate of that- I would respectfully ask that you find another place to train.
Okay… that’s it- for now. If you’ve read everything, and you understand it all, and can agree to it all… click on the button below to sign the Google form.
